Being a Slot Floor Person prints jackpot tickets, obtains customer identification, and completes appropriate forms. Ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. Additionally, Slot Floor Person may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Slot Floor Person may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Flooring installers are the front line of Floor Coverings International, executing on our quality and craftsmanship at each job. Our install teams leave the lasting impression that determines our success. We respect the customer and their home, we deliver what we promise, and we clean up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prep and install the flooring in steps according to company's procedures with high attention to detail and care
- Understanding the scope of work of the project before you get there and familiarize yourself with the work order
- Knowledge of units of measurement and able to complete simple math calculations
- Attention to detail, with an eye for craftsmanship
- Interact with customers in a friendly and polite manner, must be trustworthy and comfortable in a customer’s home
- Ensure high quality company standards are met every time
- Work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with every aspect of the job
- Responsible to properly handle power table saw, chop saw, drum sander, edger sander, buffer/polisher, and other tools as necessary
- Keep tools organized and clean and maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Job requires travel throughout the Capital District during the week
Qualifications:
- 5 years in hardwood flooring installation and/or refinishing
- Valid driver’s license and functioning vehicle
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs repeatedly
- The position requires repetitive crouching, squatting, standing, walking and lifting
- This position travels to various work locations throughout the week
