Job Description:
Job Title: Maintenance Generalist
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: 1 Year, might be extended
Location: 501 N. Elk Run Rd, Waterloo, IA 50703
Schedule: ALL SHIFTS (United States of America)
Sign on bonus is $5000.

Summary:

• This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets associated with pork processing while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot facility and equipment problems that occur in the day- to-day operations.
• Perform work that involves hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC/CD control wiring, welding, and pneumatic systems.
• Set up, adjust, and break down production machinery.
• Preform scheduled preventative maintenance duties.
• Read and understand equipment manuals and instructions.
• Complete daily reports and paperwork.
• Work environments are wet and humid.
• Temperatures range from 35 to 90 degrees.
• Work includes climbing ladders, working from elevated platforms, standing, and walking on hard floors and occasional lift of 60 lbs. All shifts include Sunday work and overtime as scheduled.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
