Slot Shift Manager Assistant assists the manager with gaming activities in the slot department during an assigned shift. Approves jackpot and credit payouts and ensures that all appropriate forms are completed. Being a Slot Shift Manager Assistant confirms all slot equipment is functioning properly. Supervises all electronic gaming device personnel. Additionally, Slot Shift Manager Assistant ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. May require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. WE LOVE OUR WORK.
- Ensure all guest related questions, problems, and requests for service are promptly handled and rectified in a professional, timely manner and in accordance to departmental standards.
- Handle the payment of all manual, hand-paid slot machine jackpots.
- Answer questions related to slot machines as well as general property information.
- Promote features of the Casino Player's Card and assist in slot promotions, as required.
- Sign up guests into the Casino Player's Card.
- Investigate and resolve issues relating to bill validators and slot gaming vouchers, including troubleshooting of basic bill validator and ticket printer problems.
- Exchange large bills (currency) for smaller at the request of guests.
- Assist with additional technical and service issues, as required.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on slot machines and related equipment as deemed necessary.

- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Previous experience in casino or hospitality industry preferred.
