Being a Slot Shift Manager confirms that all slot department equipment is functioning properly. Supervises all electronic gaming device personnel. Additionally, Slot Shift Manager ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Slot Shift Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. The Slot Manager is Responsible for the operation of the Slot Department Team Members including Key People, as well as Shift Supervisors and Managers. This position will continually observe slot machine play and examines machines for proper functioning as well as use of illegal gaming devices and coins. Also responsible for overseeing all scheduling of the department, as well as the hiring and termination of slot operation Team Members, ensure all Team Members meet the departments training requirements yearly, including Regulation 6A, and the creation of a constantly updated Team Member handbook and training system. Must create and execute programs which improve guest service and team efficiency, research and remedy accounting, tax and NGC issues as they arise through Team Member error and/or any changes to rules and regulations, and maintain cleanliness of the entire slot floor at all times, as well as the creation of policies and procedures to that affect.
