SLOT TECHNICIAN maintains slot machines, replaces parts, and cleans machines as needed. Removes machines from gaming floor with the aid of a hand truck as needed. Being a SLOT TECHNICIAN may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The SLOT TECHNICIAN may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Slot Compliance Technician

  • In this fast-paced, high energy environment where great guest service is essential, how do we ensure that our slot machines are in compliance and maintained properly? As a Slots Compliance Technician, you will ensure all slot machines are up to date with all the software and hardware are in compliance with regulations.     Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

    • Responsible to ensure that all slot machine software and hardware are in compliance with state, federal and tribal regulations. Maintain all gaming software related documentation in an organized manner and ensure proper destruction of unapproved gaming software.
    • Create and maintain all slot machine records and files, to include but not limited to PAR folders for each machine; IRIS database; slot machine Master List; documentation from vendors, manufacturers, other departments; and other related records and documents.
    • Oversee, schedule, and ensure accuracy of all slot machine activity to include but not limited to deliveries, installations and accuracy to manufacturer PAR sheet, removals, conversions, software upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure game integrity.
    • Ensure proper installation of regulated gaming software into the gaming device.
    • Receive, catalogue, and maintain regulated gaming software pursuant to regulatory and casino requirements.
    • Responsible to ensure that slot machine set up is accurate to manufacturer PAR sheet and Potawatomi specifications.
    • Audit all machines on gaming floor regularly to ensure consistency with PAR sheets.
    • Investigate machine theoretical hold variances to ensure that machines are operating according to manufacturer specifications.
    • Perform regular self -audits of policies and procedures to insure compliance.
    • Perform clerical tasks, as needed, to assist the Slot Department.
    • Maintain knowledge of and ensure full compliance of gaming laws (federal, tribal and state).Receive, review and respond to routine correspondence on technical compliance matters.
    • Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Job Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience as a slot technician or in an auditing, accounting or compliance related role are required. Associate’s degree in Science or Business is preferred.
    • The ability to use strong organization skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties and projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and fractions.
    • The ability to read and interpret written instructions and diagrams.
    • The ability to interact and communicate with guests and team members at all levels of the organization professionally, in verbal and written form.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 30 pounds on a regular basis without assistance or more with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Working Conditions

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
