GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Maintenance Technician Supervisor for The Technology House/Sea Air Space you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure building, grounds, and machines by creating a machine maintenance schedule, maintaining building operating systems (e.g., alarm, AC, heat, lights, etc.), maintaining building grounds and walkways, and performing other essential duties assigned on an as needed basis. This role will eventually delegate the work of facility custodial personnel.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Building

• Ensuring alarm, A/C, heat, plumbing, electrical, etc. are all in working order.
• Maintaining grounds, lawn, driveways, parking lots, dock doors, and walkways.
• Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.
• Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
• Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
• Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
• Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
• Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
• Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.

Machines:

• Ensuring machines are on a proper maintenance schedule.
• Communicating products that need to be purchased for machines.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance fixes on machines (CNC Lathe, Mills & additive equipment), or work with third party on more advanced repairs.
• Ensuring proper documentation is current for each machine. 

General Duties

• Working with management to secure and negotiate repair contracts.
• Conducting and documenting regular building inspections.
• Overseeing work done by outside vendors and contractors.
• Communicating safety/procedures and matters to employees.
• Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED; advanced technical training preferred.
• 1 years’ experience required; 3 years’ experience preferred.
• Sound computer literacy skills.
• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other building systems.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance fixes on machines (CNC Lathe, Mills & additive equipment).
• Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members.
• Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
• Keen attention to detail, QC, and efficient problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS

Sea Air Space Machining & Molding/The Technology House (SAS/TTH) has a responsibility to comply with all applicable requirements set forth by International Traffic Arms Regulations, or ITAR (22 CFR 120-130). As such, this position may have access to ITAR controlled information, and the candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States.
