Slot Technician Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who fix slot machines. Prepares work schedules and assigns work. Being a Slot Technician Supervisor ensures machine function and output is according to specifications. May be required to help technicians repair slot machines and remove broken machines from the gaming floor. Additionally, Slot Technician Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Slot Technician Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     Summary of Position

     

    Test function of electronic assemblies, components, and parts according to established procedures. Responsible for the preventive maintenance, repairs and maintenance, and troubleshooting of all slot machines.

    1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management’s discretion:
    • Repairs malfunctioning slot machines.
    • Operates electronic test equipment as required to facilitate repairs.
    • Uses small tools to effect installation and repair of slot machines and other equipment.
    • Prepares records and reports describing types of repair work and preventive maintenance performed.
    • Replaces defective components or repairs defective wiring after testing.
    • Cleans slot areas as required.
    • May have to perform other duties as assigned.
    • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the Casino Internal Control Structure.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

    • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). Electrical/mechanical experience relating to diagnosing, troubleshooting component failures on comparative equipment; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. An aptitude test may be given to test knowledge, skills and ability. Mescalero Apache Tribal preference; bicultural experience preferred.
