Slot Technician Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who fix slot machines. Prepares work schedules and assigns work. Additionally, Slot Technician Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Slot Repair Technician - Full Time

  • EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma, a GED or equivalent experience. Must possess a strong knowledge of electronics and mechanical equipment with 2-3 years slot experience or 1-2 years of electrical/mechanical background or previous non-technical slot operations experience may be considered. Must have a basic understanding of electronic theory. Must be able to read and understand various schematics. Must demonstrate strong math and computer skills. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Electronics degree, equipment repair experience or completion of a recognized gaming industry trade school or other technical institute preferred.


    SUMMARY

    Responsible for installing, converting, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing gaming machines and systems.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain gaming machines and other related equipment.
    • Perform installations, conversions, and removals of gaming and other non-gaming related equipment.
    • Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure all gaming machines and their related equipment are performing up to expectations.
    • Maintain an inventory of replacement parts to include troubleshooting and repairing faulty parts/equipment.
    • Responds to all floor calls in an expeditious manner and assist in resolving guest issues when needed.
    • Safely and effectively operates shop equipment including hand tools, soldering equipment, and electronic test equipment.
    • Ensures the accuracy and completion of required documentation as it relates to the position.
    • Ensures compliance of all Federal and Grand Traverse Band Tribal regulations.
    • Training new Slot Attendants and Slot Repair Technicians.
    • Assists in conducting slot machine performance and statistical analysis and recommends slot floor changes.
    • Assists with floor duties such as disputes, ticket investigations and verifying when needed.
    • Performs duties as Slot Attendant when required.
    • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
    • Performs additional duties within the scope of work.

    OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Must have excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and time. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information. The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position. Possess strong mechanical and electronics background. Should have basic computer skills, good math skills and prior money handling.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

    Scope, Voltmeter, Coin and Bill Test Stations, Soldering Equipment, Calibration Tools, Power Tools, Lab Power Supply Computer, Keyboard, and other small hand tools


    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    May be required to lift up to100lbs with assistance and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion.


    TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

    Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations and remain professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.


    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud, smoking environment. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance. May be required to work in small, enclosed spaces. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA.


    COMMENTS

    Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
