Being a Small Engine Mechanic may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Small Engine Mechanic relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced (STIHL CERTIFIED) Repair Technician to join our team. As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, and power tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including diesel engine repair and generator repair
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with customers to understand their repair needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Utilize dealership software to document repairs and maintain accurate records
- Operate power tools and equipment necessary for repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic or repair technician is required
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment for repairs
