Being a Small Engine Mechanic may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Small Engine Mechanic relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The goal of the Landscape truck and Equipment Mechanic position is to contribute to the preventative maintenance and repair of multiple equipment types. Changing oil, filters, inspection and replacing worn parts, hydraulic hoses, lights, heaters, brakes, snowplows, etc. Some electrical diagnostic work. Test drive equipment, safety conscious, consistent on time performance, strong mechanical skills. Ability to follow basic instructions.
