Job Description Position:  

Tune up your mechanical skills and build a great career. If you want to learn how to repair and service outdoor power equipment to the highest standards, Big Tool Box is the place for you! Position will repair engines and perform scheduled maintenance on a wide variety of customer-owned and store-owned rental equipment. At Big Tool Box, our Equipment Technicians repair and service outdoor power equipment to meet Big Tool Box’s high standards. Our Equipment Technicians’ dedication to doing the best possible job will mean our customers can be sure they are getting back safe, reliable, ready-to-work tools. From repairing engines to performing regularly scheduled maintenance, we bring out the best in every piece of equipment. 

Minimum education requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum experience requirements:

• Experience in small engines or an aptitude for general mechanics

• 2-stroke engine experience Position requirements:

• Skill in establishing priorities and managing both workload and time wisely

• Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and co-workers

• Ability to work with a team

• Ability to follow verbal and written work direction

 Ability to multitask and follow through on work assignments, especially those that are detailed

• Ability to follow health and safety compliance Essential Job Functions:

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to ensure customers can receive repaired equipment and feel safe and able to use the equipment with ease

• Work as part of a team to solve technical and mechanical problems quickly and efficiently

• Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness and organization

Physical Activities:

• Ability to work on feet (for long periods of time).

• Able to frequently push or pull moderately heavy objects (approximately 50lbs – 100lbs)

• Ability to lift approximately 50lbs

• Have manual dexterity and physical stamina
