Small Engine Mechanic repairs fractional-horsepower gasoline engines used to power lawnmowers, garden tractors, and similar machines. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Small Engine Mechanic may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Small Engine Mechanic relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Team Member will be responsible for small engine maintenance and repairs for Mr. Fence and associated companies using methods provided by our Maintenance Foreman. In addition will be assist with maintenance of company fleet including light duty repairs, oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs etc. We are looking for someone mechanically inclined with 2 years experience in the mechanical field.
