Small Engine Mechanic jobs in Laramie, WY
Small Engine Mechanic repairs fractional-horsepower gasoline engines used to power lawnmowers, garden tractors, and similar machines. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Small Engine Mechanic may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Small Engine Mechanic relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

We are looking for an experienced Railroad Mechanic (Maintenance of Way Mechanic M.O.W) to Join our team of professionals at our railroad construction company.

Railroad Mechanic Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot railroad-specific equipment including Jackson tampers, Kershaw regulators, Knox Kershaw tie cranes, Nordco spikers, Nordco spike pullers, Racine anchor adjusters, Nordco tripp machines, Nordco auto lifts, John Deere tie cranes, and Harsco tampers.
- Experience with Jupiter Railway Maintenance System
- Ability to read Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and electronic schematics.
Railroad Mechanic Requirements
- 80%-90% travel availability
- Class A CDL License no restrictions. Ability to operate manual equipment.
- Solid experience as a lead railroad mechanic.
