Being a Small Engine Mechanic may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Small Engine Mechanic relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. - Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including generators, power tools, and vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, using schematics and technical manuals as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
- Solder and weld components as necessary.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and equipment inventory.
```Experience:```
- Previous experience as an Small engine Technician or similar role preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation.
- Proficient in using power tools and other relevant equipment.
- Familiarity with generator repair and maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
