Small Engine Mechanic jobs in Seattle, WA

Cedar Plaza ACE hardware is hiring for a skilled mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair small engines and power equipment. Responsibilities

• Build and assemble small machines
• Inspect & repair machines, engines, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or equipment users
• Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. assemble wheel barrows and grills)
• Keep logs of work and report on issues

Skills

• Proven experience as Mechanic
• Excellent knowledge of small engines and their components
• Aptitude in using various hand tools.
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions
• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Very good communication skills
• A problem-solving ability
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
