Small Engine Repair Technician – Sioux Falls, SD

Purpose:  Promote business growth and customer satisfaction by excelling in the ongoing maintenance and timely repair of all mechanical equipment utilize by our internal employees.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and perform service on a variety of cleaning and restoration equipment including fans, vacuums, pumps, etc … in timely and efficient manner
• Ability to service and repair small engine equipment such as compressors and generators
• Ability to complete or coordinate vehicle, building, and grounds maintenance
•  Ability to review manuals and warranties accurately
• Clearly explain a diagnosis and required repairs to internal customers including warranty claims
• Maintain shop cleanliness and uphold all shop requirements
• Observe all safety and security procedures
• Coordinate parts ordering
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Participate in all training and development requirements

• Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and ability to multi task

Experience and Education:

• High School Graduate or GED Required
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record Required
• Ability to pass a background check Required
• Small Engine Repair experience Preferred

Physical Demands

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, climb or balance, kneel, stoop, walk, or push and pull objects
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, and occasionally 100lbs, to perform job functions
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and manipulate small parts
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, conditions, and temperatures including both in the office and in the field
