    Job Title: Social Service Payments Fiscal Analyst (FA2)
    Location: Everett, WA - This position is full-time/non-perm/flexible/hybrid.

    Salary: $3,700.00 - $4,968.00 Monthly

    We are searching for a detail-oriented individual with outstanding customer service skills to fill our Fiscal Analyst 2 position in the Everett office.

    The Opportunity:
    We need your fiscal expertise to function as the Social Service Payments Fiscal Analyst for the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) office in Everett. In this position you will review, process, and track client service payments and recoveries associated with those payments. You will also perform a wide range of general and specialized fiscal activities including accounting, contracted services, grants, or other financial requirements for regional payments. We are looking for self-motivated applicants who possess excellent people skills, the ability to prioritize a time-sensitive workload, and who regularly produce accurate and timely work results.

    Some of what you will get to do:
    • Advise and provide guidance to Social Service Specialists, Supervisors, and Area Administrators concerning standards and procedures to ensure the accountability needs of the Department are met.
    • Interpret payment documents for compliance with contractual terms, including rates, hours of service billed, number of slots, etc. Any exceptions to policy must be thoroughly documented, justified, and approved in advance following regional protocols.
    • Analyze data and determine the training needs of regional staff, providers, and community partners.
    • Assist in the development of standards and procedures to ensure accountability needs of the Department are met
    • Problem-solve with DCYF staff and external partners to resolve payment and service delivery issues
    • Resolve discrepancies and take corrective action as needed
    • Ensure accurate and timely payment or reimbursements through the FamLink Payment System
    • Review and analyze payment trends, identify payment barriers, develop and implement activities to strengthen or clarify Regional payment practices
    • Analyze and perform financial reviews of FamLink payment data

    Required Qualifications:
    • Equivalent education/experience totaling four years.
    OR
    • A Bachelor's degree.

    In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:
    • A Bachelor's degree which includes at least 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting, auditing or budgeting and one to two years of relevant professional experience. Professional experience may substitute for education but not usually for the credit hours.
    • A Master’s degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant can be substituted for professional experience.
