    THE POSITION

    • Vice President, Global Fulfillment, Sourcing & Procurement
    • Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer
    • Position Location: Greater Charlotte North Carolina Area. This position will be based at Mood Media’s Fort Mill, South Carolina site.  Upwards of 25% travel. 

    The Vice President, Global Fulfillment, Sourcing & Procurement will report to Mood Media’s COO Jennifer Mitchell (LinkedIn Bio).  This critical team member will be responsible for developing and executing fulfillment and strategic sourcing strategies that reduce the total cost of ownership for products and services.  In addition, he/she will be responsible for directing the sourcing, purchasing and logistic functions to assist in the achievement of corporate financial and inventory goals as well as the development of best-in-class processes.

     

    Responsibilities include:

    • P&L responsibility for fulfillment, sourcing, procurement, and logistics organization
    • Build world class fulfillment, sourcing, procurement, and logistics capabilities delivering on-time with high quality that meets or exceeds customer expectations while optimizing profitability
    • Ensure availability of products to support sales and satisfy customer needs. Manage operating cost of goods sold and drive that cost down wherever possible, without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction
    • Develop and nurture strong strategic relationships with key suppliers and business partners to deliver, seeking to continually raise the bar on our business performance
    • Experience in developing and managing contract documents including RFPs, procure-to-pay processes coupled with procurement negotiation, supplier management and contract management experience
    • Optimize logistic costs globally including ensuring smooth delivery in all global locations
    • Or … Utilize leading technology and implement and manage processes and systems internally and with suppliers that track critical financial metrics, key performance indicators, and ensure proactive data decision making
    • Own and execute large scale process improvement opportunities collaborating across the organization and with external suppliers to deliver profitable improvements with scalable solutions
    • Collaborate with appropriate senior management to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory planning
    • Leads cross-functional sourcing teams to develop and execute corporate global sourcing strategies to provide products/services at the lowest total cost while optimizing service and/or inventory levels
    • Responsible for all facilities globally and optimizing the global footprint
    • Demonstrates leadership and provides guidance to stakeholder’s/business owners to ensure sourcing process is embraced by the organization
    • Provide leadership and engagement on product review boards and other similar project teams as needed
    • Drive automation to maximize productivity wherever possible while maintaining appropriate controls
    • Effectively coach, train, and develop the team building on existing talents and fill any gaps
    • Serve as escalation point for internal clients
    • Directs the strategic operations for the team including ongoing improvement initiatives
    • Identifying and implementing best practice improvements on an ongoing basis to drive improved results. Establishing a learning & development culture that shares and communicates best practice programs across different regions

    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

    • 5-10 years global experience managing end-to-end fulfillment, sourcing, procurement, and logistics. Possesses relevant experience, skills, and capabilities to deliver Mood Media’s on-premise media products.  Also, capable of managing facilities globally
    • Can lead such an organization in a PE backed company with revenue between $100M and $500M. Consistently overachieved in high growth environments and built high-performance global organizations.  Demonstrated success leading organizations known for outstanding performance
    • Strong developer of talent. He/She will have a demonstrated track record of recruiting and fielding an "A" team through hiring and internal development programs.  Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Demonstrated success partnering and collaborating internally and externally with executive level management and with all functions of an organization
    • Experience managing offshore contract manufacturers and logistics partners. ERP working knowledge to conduct spend analysis, identify cost savings opportunities, SKU rationalization, supplier evaluation, effective cash forecasting and other improvement programs
    • Exceptional written, verbal and sales presentation skills. Possesses superb communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
    • Capable of leading and building out operations and systems. Bottom-line and profit oriented, budget conscious, metric/measurement driven.  Effectively manages forecasting, planning, and budgeting with high levels of predictability, quality, and accuracy
    • Strong team leadership, change management & process improvement acumen
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and global environment
    • Excellent analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, team conflict management and time management skills
    • Bachelor’s degree or above preferred, yet career achievements and recent track record are more critical than paper qualifications
