Social Media Analyst, Sr. jobs in Springfield, OR

The Social Media Coordinator is a key member of the Mt. Bachelor Marketing Team. This creative and collaborative individual will share brand stories, key updates, and year-round stoke with our very passionate online audiences! The position is responsible for growing the social media presence of Mt. Bachelor, Sun Country Tours, and Woodward at Mt. Bachelor across multiple platforms, as well as engaging with all audiences. This position will also assist with content strategy, planning, and execution.

This position requires very strong communication skills – ideal for someone who is a compelling writer and storyteller, has an eye for striking visuals, and can craft messages clearly while optimizing for various social media channels. The Social Media Coordinator will be expected to learn the in-and-outs of the mountain and always have a pulse on what's happening – to ensure content is relevant, transparent, and accurate. Due to the nature of our business, this position requires an abnormal work week schedule (will most likely not have a Saturday/Sunday weekend). Social Media – 60%

• Have extensive knowledge of key social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Know how to optimize content based on the channel
• Grow social media presence with up-to-date, relevant, and engaging content for our multiple brands: Mt. Bachelor, Sun Country Tours, and Woodward Mt. Bachelor
• Monitor and reply to social media messages and public comments
• Develop, maintain, and execute an internal social media calendar, while remaining flexible to the dynamic environment on the mountain
• Create and deliver social media performance reports. Use analytics to fine-tune social strategies
• Stay up to date on the latest social media trends, platform features, and emerging apps

Content Assistance – 30%

• Collaborate with marketing team, contracted photographers & videographers, sponsored athletes, and influencers to create and distribute social media content
• Collaborate with other internal departments to create employee-focused content
• Capture content from the mountain in real-time
• Assist on photo and video shoots where needed

General Marketing – 10%

• Be an expert in the Mt. Bachelor voice, brand, and style guidelines
• Be a source of creative assistance to the entire marketing team
• Attend events and trade shows as necessary for Mt. Bachelor to successfully execute strategies

Specific Job Skills:

Technical:

• Proficient on social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok (bonus if you have experience specifically managing business accounts on these platforms)
• Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Sprout Social
• Experience with photography or videography is a plus
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience working on both Mac and PC computer platforms

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
• Should be able to stand for 4 hours consecutively
• Advanced or expert skier or rider. Ability to capture real-time content on any type of terrain.

Additional:

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be extremely organized and able to prioritize and multi-task through multiple projects to meet deadlines
• A positive attitude with a love for the outdoors and skiing or riding is integral for the success of this position

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- Bachelor's degree in related field

Minimum time in related position- Minimum 1 year experience in marketing and the resort industry
