Job Description: CVETS is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animals and possess a strong understanding of social media platforms and trends. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic social media campaigns to enhance our online presence and engage with our community.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive
engagement, and generate leads.
2. Create engaging and original content (including photography, videography, and graphic
design works) for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
TikTok, and LinkedIn.
3. Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to the
veterinary industry and animal care.
4. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner,
maintaining a positive online reputation for the hospital.
5. Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate social media campaigns with other
marketing initiatives, promotions, and events.
6. Analyze social media metrics and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of
campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and make
recommendations for optimization.
8. Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and
optimization, to achieve desired outcomes.
9. Develop relationships with influencers, bloggers, and other relevant partners to expand
reach and enhance brand credibility.
10. Assist in the development of social media policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure
consistency and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, preferably in the
healthcare or pet industry.
3. The ability to create high quality still photography, video, and video edits.
4. Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling
and engaging content.
6. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing
multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
9. Passion for animals and commitment to promoting pet health and wellness.
