JOB TITLE: SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
General Summary:
Under the direction of the SVP, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating and administering content on all social
media platforms. The Specialist may also monitor site metrics, and oversee creative design needed to best support social
media efforts and will work cross functionally with all departments to promote the credit union brand on social media
platforms. We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, creative, and has a passion for social media/social media
analytics. The ideal candidate possesses a high level of experience with social media platforms and strong understanding of
public relations (PR), digital marketing.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
§ Create and administer relevant content on all social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn,
Twitter, etc.
§ Partner with marketing team to develop a consistent brand across all social platforms.
§ Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets.
§ Execute social media campaigns to promote the credit union brand.
§ Be able to contribute creative ideas and research latest trends.
§ Track and measure success or failures.
§ Answer inbound inquiries.
§ Miscellaneous marketing and promotion duties as assigned.
§ Perform other duties as assigned by management team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
§ First and foremost, this individual must be an excellent, experienced writer with a portfolio of writing samples
from prior work in social media, marketing, advertising, public relations, or other journalistic pursuit.
§ Extensive working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Yelp, Google , YouTube, Instagram and other social
media platforms (“Social Media Guru”)
§ Skillset to create and promote content across social media channels.
§ Understanding of credit unions and/or financial industry, its customers/members and its products and services.
§ A well-organized, self-starter who takes initiative, ownership and responsibility.
§ Must have experience in social media and developing, implementing, and measuring social media strategy and
programming.
§ Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
§ Quick learner who has the ability to solve problems independently.
§ Must be organized, thorough, and great with time-management.
Desired Skills and Experience:
§ Bachelor’s Degree in related field - Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, Business Administration
§ 2 years experience in social media marketing / content creation
§ Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams) and Google Workspace
§ Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premier, Acrobat, InDesign, etc.
§ Proficiency with basic photography and videography including shooting, image editing and video editing.
§ Availability to attend on-site events, community events, and various company locations which may include
occasional after-hours or weekends times.

§ Full-time On-site or Hybrid
§ Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
