    About Us - The Bismarck Larks:
    The Bismarck Larks, part of the Northwoods League (NWL), are a dynamic force in collegiate summer baseball. Since joining NWL in 2017, we've become a significant presence, attracting the most fans among similar leagues worldwide. Over the past year, we've achieved remarkable milestones, including rebranding as the Missouri River Motorboaters, hosting the NWL All-Star Game on ESPNU, airing games on NBC - North Dakota, unveiling the NWL’s largest video board, and drawing attendees from 33 states.

    About Us - Funatix Events:
    Funatix Events, headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota, is a comprehensive event management company. We oversee operations, marketing, sponsorship, and ticket sales for various events, including the historic Mandan Rodeo Days, the Bismarck Marathon, and the Dacotah Speedway.

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a Social Media & Marketing Manager to craft and distribute engaging content across all social media platforms for both The Bismarck Larks and Funatix Events. This role will involve managing social media presence for the Bismarck Larks baseball team and all entities under Funatix Events. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal departments to develop captivating content that enhances our brands. This position reports to the Director of Marketing for both organizations.

    Responsibilities:
    • Create captivating social media content that resonates emotionally with fans, leveraging fun to enrich their experiences.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, including ticketing, sponsorship, merchandise, and events, to develop content for marketing campaigns.
    • Develop and maintain content across all Bismarck Larks and Funatix Events platforms, including social media, websites, and email marketing.
    • Attend Bismarck Larks games and Funatix Events to capture engaging content.
    • Produce content in various formats optimized for different social media platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
    • Contribute to strategies for expanding social media audiences and stay abreast of industry trends.
    • Provide photo editing and retouching support, ensuring a consistent visual aesthetic across digital platforms.
    • Assist with written and graphic content creation, including social graphics, flyers, billboards, program materials, and video board graphics.
    • Organize and maintain video and photo archives using Dropbox and Asana.
    • Represent the organizations at networking events and community engagements.
    • Manage the social media content timeline, from ideation to delivery.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills:
    • Proficient in social media management and creative writing.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and deliver high-quality content within deadlines.
    • Strong grasp of marketing and content strategy development.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Enthusiastic team player who enjoys collaborative work.
    • Ability to collaborate with team members using a project management software called Asana.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays, as needed.

    Preferred Skills:
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, AfterEffects, InDesign, and/or Photoshop) or similar software (Canva, etc.).
    • Experience with DSLR cameras, lighting, audio equipment, drones, etc.
    • Knowledge of video and music licensing requirements.
    • Familiarity with WordPress or similar web-based applications.

    *Vacation days are granted at the discretion of the General Manager, with no maximum limit per calendar year.
