    Schedule: 40-45 Hours per week

    BTS Company Overview: This position is with a large well-established hospitality company; a progressive and diverse company that has been serving the corporate, social, and production industry for over 35 years. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California and services large corporations, private clients, major sporting events (including the Super Bowl, Farmers Insurance Open, Rose Bowl, and the Olympics), news broadcast companies including NBC, venues, concert tours, corporate marketing tours, and large-scale events throughout the globe. The company also manages Village Vino which has been around for 11 years and has provided San Diego with a constantly rotating selection of wines from small producers that we feature by the glass and by the bottle as well as small bites.

    Job Overview: We are looking for an independent and strategic Marketing Manager and Communications. This person will oversee marketing strategy for Behind the Scenes Catering & Events, Village Vino, and (La Jolla Café). Evaluate and develop a marketing strategy based on business needs and corporate strategy to promote the Behind the Scenes services and enhance brand visibility.


    Job Duties:

    Branding:

    Maintain and manage consistent corporate image throughout all marketing promotions and promotional materials and product lines, both online and offline.

    Digital Marketing:

    Manage website content for Behind the Scenes Catering & Events and all other related entities. Work with company leadership to develop branding and marketing strategies for any new business ventures. Develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals. Understand SEO and SEM strategies to improve online visibility, drive traffic, and optimize campaigns.

    Social Media Marketing:

    Manage social media accounts for Behind the Scenes Catering & Events, Village Vino, and any new business’ that may be added. Collaborate with cross functional teams to create content that will enhance brand visibility and awareness. Create, schedule, and optimize content across social media platforms to engage with current and or new potential clients and respond to inquiries.

    Attend events and work with Event Management to create and source digital content that can be used across marketing platforms.

    Sales and Event Support:

    Work closely with Director of Sales to develop quarterly sales strategies that align with overall business objectives. This consists of strategic approach to marketing initiatives, lead generation, and customer engagement to drive sales growth. As well as working with the Sales Team to enhance client engagement and communication to ensure personalized, individual outreach for top clients and consistent communication for less engaged clients.

    Design and source packaging for gifting or promotional offerings, design and print materials to support Sales Team (business cards, thank you cards, letterhead, etc.) Design brochures for high level clients and create email signatures for special promotions. Support marketing needs for seasonal, holiday and monthly offerings as agreed with Executive Team. Design and source signage for events and Major Projects as needed by management.

    Marketing Research:

    Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth that could impact companies marketing strategies. Survey existing clients as needed to understand their relationship with the brand, needs, and outlook. Develop strategies to grow a new client base at all BTS Hospitality businesses.

    PR/Media:

    Work with Director of Sales to build relationships with news and media outlets and establish Behind the Scenes Hospitality Business as a source of information on events and hospitality in the region. Work with Finance and HR to develop strategies to improve internal PR through channels of communication and seamless onboarding experience.

    Reports:
    Create analytics reports for Executive Team upon request, looking into quarterly and monthly business impact, as well as trends.

    • Strong knowledge of job duties and functions.
    • Ability to adapt to changing demands.
    • Ability to prioritize workflow resulting in efficient and accurate results.
    • Self-Starter, ability to take a project from inception to completion.
    • Proven sales ability from inquiry to final sales/client commitment.


    Special Projects:

    • Employee from time to time may be asked to work or assist on Special Large-Scale projects (i.e., Miramar Airshow, Jewel Ball, 3 Day Walk) which may include administrative tasks, client service tasks, on site event management, or other associated duties associated with the project.
