The Social Media Marketing Assistant will be responsible for crafting photo, video, and written content that engages, inspires, and motivates the College’s primary audiences, including prospective students, alumni, and donors on social media (mainly TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram).
The Assistant will also be invited to support – and explore – any or all areas of interest within the various communications specialties represented by the OCM but will primarily be responsible for social media content creation.
The Assistant will report to the Digital Marketing Strategist but is a collaborative and strategic partner for the entire Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) and will regularly work across teams. This may include collaboration with our staff photographer, videographer, graphic designers, and editors.

Being a huge fan of Skidmore is required. Experience creating content for TikTok and Instagram in a professional setting is preferred. Writing, photography, and videography skills are a plus. Success in this role comes from being responsive, collaborative, flexible, and eager to share your experiences while learning from others.
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., 21 hours a week
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Date: June 1 – August 31 (or otherwise arranged)
