Social Work Manager plans and implements programs to meet the social and emotional needs of patients and patients' families in a health care setting. Develops plans for patient care after release from treatment. Being a Social Work Manager provides social services to patients/clients and their families. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, patients and their families to assess patient social needs and monitor progress of medical treatment. Additionally, Social Work Manager coordinates planning for post-discharge care. Supervises professional staff. Prepares departmental budgets and reports. Requires a master's degree of Social Work. Typically reports to a director. The Social Work Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     We are actively hiring for a Program Manager to support the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

    The Program Manager will:

    • Assist OCFS staff in the monitoring of domestic violence programs and/or rape crisis/sexual assault programs funded by Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) and FVPSA American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds.
    • Monitor the programs to determine that they meet OCFS and FVPSA regulatory standards, implement program model(s) with fidelity where applicable, and meet contractual obligations.
    • Assist in supporting OCFS oversight of the programs. As part of this oversight responsibility, the Program Managers will need to ensure that programs are providing a survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach to engaging survivors of domestic violence (DV) and/or sexual assault (SA) and programs are providing services according to approved work plans to strengthen and support DV/SA survivors and their children.
    • All services provided under a resulting contract must be in accordance with all State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide monitoring, quality assurance and technical assistance through review of program, data, and fiscal reports, regular communication via email, telephone, and in-person site visits to ensure adherence to program standards, and regulatory and contract requirements;
    • Development of written reports and program summaries;
    • Staying appraised of program requirements through training and research;
    • Responsible for the development of program contracts, approval of performance targets, work plans, program budgets and monitoring of contract spending;
    • Promotion of intra- and inter-agency coordination;
    • Presentations on various aspects of the work;
    • Review and rating of proposals submitted in response to a Request for Proposal;
    • Representing the unit, bureau, and OCFS at meetings and workgroups;

    Required Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree AND
    • 2 or more years of professional experience in the area(s) of domestic violence, child welfare, victim services or other related field

    Preferred Skills:

    • Master's or higher degree in social work or in another related field.
