Beverage Training Manager. This position supports and assists the VP of Training by leading the bar and beverage education and implementation for all new and existing Punch Bowl Social locations. Responsible for creating and maintaining bar training via standard operating procedures, company policies, specifications, standards, and programs relating to the sale of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the Company. This role is also responsible for the execution of training plans, measurement, and follow through in support of new restaurant openings, daily training processes, certifications, new menu support, and helps to build a culture of engagement through leadership, communication, teaching, encouraging involvement, seeking feedback, and providing recognition. Elevating the guest’s beverage experience in Punch Bowl Socials fast paced and causal environment while striving for excellence in quality and consistent execution.

What you’ll be doing:

 • Responsible for implementation of beverage rollouts of new products and procedures, including training materials (builds/recipes), certification plans, training videos, and ongoing continuing education. 

•  Assists in creation, implementation, and ongoing support of in-store beverage processes, including training guides, line checks, pour standards, recipe decks, etc. 
•  Works with operations, beverage vendors and beverage consultant to create training programs and assets for education. 
•  In partnership with Operations, conducts store assessments to determine training needs and sets training plan and certifications based on company initiatives and priorities. 
•  Supports training and education for beverage and bar at every level of the organization, taking ownership for overall in-store beverage performance. 
•  Serves as a trainer for beverage, including new store openings, bar/beverage retraining’s, product training, GM/Bar Manager training, etc. 
•  Manages training and education platforms, including Paylocity, and any additional supplemental systems used. 
•  Proactively supports underperforming stores through audits, training reviews, certifications, and basic foundation training. 
•  Works with department leaders by providing feedback and ideas to maximize performance for the brand. 
•  Approximately 75% travel expected during a calendar year; this position can be away from home two to three weeks at a time.

Qualifications:

•  Works quickly and efficiently; able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once within a constantly changing and demanding environment. 
•  Adept at self-managing time; able to successfully work remotely. 
•  Possesses a high degree of drive, with a proven track record of achieving results. 
•  Excellent communication (written and oral), and problem-solving skills 
•  Attention to detail; able to give quality feedback on execution. 
•  Ability to perform all beverage functions at the restaurant level. 
•  Strong working knowledge of beverage alcohol laws and alcohol beverage distribution and supply chain 
•  Familiar with inventory management systems, guest experience systems, employee scheduling platforms, and e-learning programs 
•  Computer skills and basic competencies 
•  Expert-level skill with current operational point-of-sale (POS) systems 
•  Minimum of 3 years of experience in tactical bar and beverage management 
•  Prior experience in successful training and employee development

Physical Demands:

•  Frequently touching food ingredients 
•  Frequently operating kitchen and bar equipment and tools 
•  Cleaning of FOH and BOH kitchen and bar equipment. 
•  Frequently required to stand for long periods of time; sit, walk, bend and stoop. 
•  Frequently required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. 
•  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to focus at night.
