Social Work Manager jobs in Paramus, NJ

• Lead the planning process for developing and implementing a comprehensive program for patients and families served throughout the department
• Work closely with the Services Directors, Nursing leadership to effectuate the discharge planning and utilization management processes
• Orient and train new employees in departmental operations
• Provide ongoing clinical supervision and training opportunities for social work staff to ensure the provision of appropriate patient services and required skills
• Provide direct treatment services to patients utilizing modalities (individual, group, family, crisis intervention) which appropriately address the needs and treatment goals of patients
• Perform psychodynamic assessments, and formulates diagnostic impressions and recommendations for treatment
• Provide case management services as needed to ensure treatment plan is being followed and to assist patients in accessing health, mental health, supportive and concrete services
• Develop discharge care plans (suggests appropriate community resources) and actively participate in effecting the plans
• Interpret nature of illness and prescribed course of treatment to patients and families
• Participate in interdisciplinary diagnostic and treatment planning conferences and make recommendations regarding the needs of the patient
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in a Psychiatric setting
• Master's Degree in Social Work
• NJS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Experience working emphasis on the Serious & Persistent Mentally Ill
• Experience working with Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating
• Experience in an Administrative and/or Clinical Supervisor
