Social Work Manager plans and implements programs to meet the social and emotional needs of patients and patients' families in a health care setting. Develops plans for patient care after release from treatment. Being a Social Work Manager provides social services to patients/clients and their families. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, patients and their families to assess patient social needs and monitor progress of medical treatment. Additionally, Social Work Manager coordinates planning for post-discharge care. Supervises professional staff. Prepares departmental budgets and reports. Requires a master's degree of Social Work.     Adult & Disability Social Services Manager $89,835 -- $135,886 Salary

    Full-time, exempt position that can work at Dodge, Steele or Waseca site based on candidate’s preference.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    · Overseeing human services programs and a team of approximately 50 employees, with a primary emphasis on supporting individuals with disabilities or those aging, fostering safety, independence, and overall well-being.

    · Collaborating closely with both internal and external partners to efficiently administer human service programs and enhance the service delivery system.

    · Assessing the performance and outcomes of program or business activities.

    · Ensuring transparent management of program and agency budgets, maximizing resource utilization, and contributing to the preparation of the annual budget.

    · Planning to best position MNPrairie to achieve desired outcomes amid evolving client demographics, program dynamics, community standards, and resource allocations.

    · Developing and executing long-range and strategic plans in alignment with the executive director, management team, and board directives.

    · Cultivating an environment conducive to innovation and continuous improvement.

    · Coordinating and supervising the development, execution, tracking, and monitoring of service contracts.

    · Comprehensive grasp of disabilities, encompassing mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental issues, and physical impairments, along with a nuanced understanding of aging.

    · Advanced proficiency in social work practices, including structured decision-making, family engagement, and client-centered approaches.

    · Demonstrated capacity to strategize, organize, and oversee a sizable team of professional and administrative personnel.

    · Ability to decipher complex data and formulate comprehensive action plans accordingly.

    · Proficiency in verbal and written communication.

    · Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with county officials, colleagues, community agencies and leaders, and the broader public.

    Minimum qualifications:

    · A bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work, nursing, behavioral or social science or related field.

    · At least six years of experience working in a supervisory or management capacity in a human services environment or at least three years of experience working in a supervisory or management capacity in a human services environment and at least 3 years’ experience working directly in county or state human services.

    · Master's degree preferred.

    · County human services experience preferred.

    · Valid MN Driver’s license.

    · Ability to pass a background check.
