UpNorth Social Tasting & Grazing Room is a forthcoming culinary destination in the heart of Crosslake, Minnesota. We are dedicated to providing a unique and inviting experience, offering build-your-own charcuterie boards, self-pour taproom options, and a warm, community-focused atmosphere.

As we prepare for our grand opening this summer, we have an opportunity for you to be a part of something truly special as we will be the very first build-your-own charcuterie establishment in Minnesota! And the first self-pour taproom in Crosslake!

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Social Media Manager to join our team and help us establish a strong presence on TikTok and Instagram.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and proactive individual who is passionate about social media and has a keen eye for engaging content creation. The Part-Time Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing our TikTok and Instagram accounts, curating compelling content, and fostering meaningful interactions with our audience. This role will initially require approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours as our social media presence grows.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth on TikTok and Instagram.
• Create and curate high-quality, on-brand content, including photos, videos, and captions, that resonate with our target audience.
• Collaborate with the team to plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and events.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our audience in a timely and authentic manner.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and incorporate new ideas and features into our social media strategy.
• Capture and edit videos onsite at UpNorth Social to showcase our offerings, ambiance, and customer experiences.
• Track and analyze social media performance metrics, and provide regular reports and insights to inform future strategies and optimizations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience managing social media accounts for businesses or brands strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram platforms, including features, algorithms, and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and engaging content creation.
• Creative thinker with a passion for food, beverage, and hospitality industries. Bonus if you love charcuterie!
• Proficiency in video editing tools and techniques is a plus.
• Must be located in the Brainerd Lakes Area with the flexibility to be onsite at UpNorth Social as needed.

Compensation:

• Part-Time (10 hours per week to start with potential for growth)
• $18-$20 per hour with opportunities for bonuses and growth based on performance
• Performance-based bonuses and growth opportunities available based on achieving key social media metrics, driving engagement, and contributing to the overall success of UpNorth Social
