Social Worker (MSW) interviews clients and their families and coordinates and plans programs and activities to meet their social and emotional needs. Provides crisis intervention and assists families in understanding the implications and complexities of the life situation and its impact on lifestyle. Being a Social Worker (MSW) provides professional social work assistance to clients and families as related to illness, disease, hospitalization, financial and educational needs by utilizing a variety of modalities in all areas of service. Responsibilities also include involvement in the discharge planning process. Additionally, Social Worker (MSW) requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Will be providing social work services in our Inpatient Palliative Care.
Social Worker Job Summary:
- Responsible for provision of social work services to include
- Ability to work in coordination with other disciplines at part of team to address chronic illness and end-of-life needs.
Social Worker Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Social Work, NC LCSW, OR LCSW Provisional license required.
- At least 1 year experience in social work and knowledge of end-of-life issues preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid NC Drivers license required.
*Sign-on bonus eligible if fully licensed as a LCSW (not provisionally).
