THE POSITION
The Product Manager of Soft Goods will be responsible for the overall direction and financial success of our apparel and soft goods category through both DTC and dealer channels. You will be responsible for consumer insights, line planning, forecasting, purchasing, and over-seeing design. To ensure the success of our soft goods line, the product manager must use a combination of data, previous experience, and customer input, stay updated with current trends and market perceptions.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Consumer insights, line planning, forecasting, purchasing, and over-seeing design of all apparel and soft good products.
· Develop GTM strategy and plan successful launches across various channels.
· Ensure profitability on all products.
· Work with cross-functional team to successfully produce items through the fulfillment process and end-user experience.
· Partner with designers to create unique products that are on-brand and deliver category growth.
· Own the purchasing of all apparel for both internal (employee) and external customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing/merchandising preferred
· Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the apparel/soft goods industry
· Strong knowledge of the apparel industry, specifically creation timelines, manufacturing processes, etc.
· Previous experience with line planning, forecasting, and ordering product
· Strong business acumen
· Analytical and strategic thinking; results oriented.
