SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Architect (Hybrid).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking a Software Architect to join a team focused on advancing submarine capabilities with new advancing software technologies. The successful candidate will be tasked with defining and supporting the virtualization of the Tactical Navigation (TACNAV) system and integration into the Submarine Common Computing Environment (CCE). This position can accommodate a hybrid schedule. Please note that this role requires some travel between Newport RI and Norfolk VA.
Essential Capabilities:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with experience with Cloud Technologies and Platform as a Service (PaaS). The Engineer should have proven experience with common container technologies in the industry (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), microservice architecture and design as well as DevOps practices (CI/CD). Experience with Red Hat Linux and tools such as TBoot, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira are a plus. The candidate should feel comfortable collaborating with other engineering teams and be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Software Development experience as well as experience working with Cloud Technologies.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens.
