Nolan Engineering, PLLC is an Architecture and Engineering Firm located in Burnt Hills, NY. We have approximately 14 employees and offer a fun/family-oriented office culture. Since origination we have experienced steady growth and we are currently seeking a licensed architect to join our team. The ideal candidate would be a licensed Architect with the ability to design structural and architectural CAD drawings for our clients using AutoCAD, Chief Architect or Revit software. In this role, you will be required to meet with clients, contractors, drafters and engineers to discuss design concepts for CAD models, develop product designs, and generate drawings that will be used for construction.

To ensure success as an Architect, you should have extensive experience working with AutoCAD/Chief Architect/Revit software, advanced design skills, strong communication/interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, a top-class Architect can design and create high-level design models that meet all the specifications of the client.

Architect Job Responsibilities:

• Research, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
• Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
• Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
• Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
• Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working with the Project Manager, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.
• Interfaces with Director of Architecture and project managers.
• Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.
• Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.
• Generate site plans.
• Attend planning/zoning meetings and assist clients with obtaining approval for their projects.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution
• 3 years of architectural experience preferably within the hiring firm’s field
• Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is required
• LEED AP is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
