What You’ll Do

As a software engineer, you will develop and maintain applications used in the design, testing, and FAA certification of propeller systems. The software includes desktop applications, lab data acquisition, and data analysis codes.  

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

1) Develop and maintain in-house software applications utilizing appropriate coding standards and documentation. 

2) Support Hartzell’s engineering test lab personnel in the acquisition and analysis of test data.

What’s Required

1) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or electrical engineering.

2) 2 years of experience writing software applications

What’s Preferred

1) Experience using LabWindows/CVI software

2) Experience programming in C, C , or C#.

3) Experience utilizing common lab instrumentation such as strain gages, thermocouples, RTDs, and telemetry systems.

4) Willingness to embrace a wide range of software application types when developing new solutions, adapting to the unique needs of each project.

5) Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to thoroughly understand project requirements and translate them into clean sheet software solutions.

6) Experience developing efficient GUI designs

7) Experience working with and interpreting mechanical drawings and engineering schematics.

8) The ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative environment.
