    What You'll Do

    CNS is seeking a Software Developer to join the team that supports our analytical chemistry applications. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are passionate about designing robust, maintainable, and innovative solutions to software and user interface needs using technologies such as C#, Java, JavaScript, ReactJS, and SQL. Responsibilities include developing web applications, helping to translate business needs into modern software solutions, maintaining and enhancing existing applications, debugging production issues, customizing delivered functionality, and developing integration with other systems including web APIs.     Minimum Job Requirements
    • Experience with an Object Oriented programming language such as Java or C#.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline
    • OR Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline
    • OR Eight or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting
    Preferred Job Requirements
    • Programming languages and frameworks (C#, Java, JavaScript, ReactJS)
    • Relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or SAP HANA
    • Web Services (SOAP and REST)
    • Web server technologies such as Microsoft IIS, NetWeaver, or Apache Tomcat
    • Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio or Eclipse
    • Version control tool such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories
    • DevSecOps process using tools such as Azure DevOps, SonarCube, and SonaType Nexus
    • Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment
    • Experience with ITIL processes and agile development is preferred
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory or with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

    Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

    Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
