The employee is responsible for ensuring the application is secure and not vulnerable to unauthorized users. There are two aspects to the position. The first aspect requires working with developers to ensure applications incorporate best practices as it relates to security and access. Ensure the software is secure without bugs and vulnerabilities by following security industry standards and best practices using code-secure tools (e.g. Sonarcloud, Synk) Test software prior to deployment utilizing Metasploit, Burp Suite (testing tools) and other open-source tools. Once the software is released ensure the application is safe from any external security attacks and threats. If any security threats/attacks are detected perform required remediation to keep the application secure and operational utilizing ZeroNorth and Jira (tools used for this purpose). The second aspect is to continuously monitor the software for security breaches utilizing software security monitoring tools (such as Cloudflare, DarkTrace, Lacework, Logic Hub) to identify external security attacks. Manage software security by building a security firewall and making sure rules are operational. Schedule and run external security scans on the software to ensure the application is not affected by any bugs and security vulnerabilities.
