Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, design, develop, and implement custom engineered solutions meeting or exceeding customer product specifications and all industry and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to research requirements, presents design options, and document results for project teams and engineering management.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
- Communicate and behave in a professional manner that supports the mission, vision, and policies of the organization.
- Lead the design and implementation verification and validation programs to ensure designs are adequate for intended purpose.
- Apply advanced engineering judgment to problem solving in both design work.
- Select and perform design calculations and directs engineering efforts on critical projects which includes: idea/ concept development, prototype evaluation, concept verification, and production design validation.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers and consultants.
- Determine and create testing methods for products at different phases in the development and present analysis of findings. This may include setup and report writing.
- Utilize Experience in C or C projects that could involve either creating or accessing QT.
- Design and develop software for new products and modify software for existing products.
- Develop software specifications based on system specifications and software architecture.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product integrity issues with an appropriate sense of urgency and within required company timeframes. Support cost reduction efforts on existing products.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering design, documentation, and bill of material for products on both a domestic and global level.
- Effectively utilize various programs to create simple printed circuit board layout & schematic drawings for various components.
- Keep area clean and organized in accordance with 5S standards.

Critical Competencies for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Software Engineering required.
- Advanced skills in software creation and documentation.
- Proficient in the troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Proficient with hardware and software integration.
- Able to independently perform circuit design.
- Able to construct PCB layout.
- Able to perform analogue and digital simulation.
- Able to perform soldering and wiring.
- Advanced skills in engineering techniques and technical writing.
- Completes and constructs technical documentation.
- Knowledge of engineering terms and standard engineering techniques.
- Advanced embedded software (JAVA) design skills.
- Advanced Visual Basic and C programming skills.
- Intermediate command of communication protocols.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
