THE POSITION: The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at
Rose-Hulman invites applications for visiting faculty positions with an
anticipated start date of August 2024. The department, which continues to
experience strong enrollment growth (currently over 500 students), offers B.S.
degrees in computer science and software engineering. These programs are
accredited by the Computing and Engineering Accreditation Commissions of ABET.
The department offers a multidisciplinary second major in data
science, a multidisciplinary robotics minor, and
several ongoing research projects among its vibrant interdisciplinary
initiatives.
Preferred
candidates will have a doctorate (or near completion) in computer science,
software engineering or closely related fields (including engineering education
with an emphasis on these fields), or a master’s degree with relevant
experience, and demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate
teaching. Although these positions are expected to be for one year, candidates
who meet these qualifications and are seeking a longer-term non-tenure track
opportunity are encouraged to apply. We
are looking for candidates who embrace the mission and vision of Rose-Hulman to
join our collegial team of 27 faculty. The department and the Institute place a
