Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and execution of Engineering testing efforts across multiple systems and domains. Develop an understanding of the end-to-end system, architectural design, and implement the appropriate testing strategy that ensures high quality software is deployed into production.
• Lead and oversee a team accountable for delivering software testing in partnership with an offshore team. Determine appropriate process, methodology, and techniques, which includes test tools and test automation methods, to apply to each testing project.
• Effectively manage the quality engineering testing team in a manner that ensures effective execution of project deliverables (in terms of time and high quality). This also includes recruitment, performance management, salary administration, and career planning.

• Consult with Product, Engineering and DevOps on production escapes that require hotfixes to get to root cause of the issue.
• Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CIS, MIS or equivalent related experience.

Experience

• Multiple years’ experience leading, managing and coaching a team of up to 12 Quality Engineers consisting of onshore and offshore resources
• Deep QA experience in QA tooling, best practices, and test frameworks
• Engineering experience writing software or building frameworks that test software and perform validations across system tiers from the presentation layer to persistence.
• Several years' experience testing in an AWS cloud and on-prem environment
• Experience with Python/Pytest as testing framework utilizing selenium

• Experience with TestRails as a test management tool
• Experience with Bamboo to run code
• Experience with GIT/Bitbucket for code management
• Experience with different types of testing (functional, performance, security, ext.)
