Software Quality Assurance Analyst jobs in Sacramento, CA

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our projects and tasks. You will collaborate closely with project managers to establish tailored quality plans and documentation, ensuring compliance with established standards and best practices. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential as you conduct assessments and evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to resolve defects.

Pay Rate: $25 per hour.

Hybrid Schedule in Roseville, CA.

Employment Type: Contract (1 year with possibility of extension)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Establish and document tailored quality plans in collaboration with project managers.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance documentation, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to verify compliance and determine process and product quality.
• Independently assess work products for quality and report findings, providing recommendations for resolution.
• Analyze defect metrics data and present findings to appropriate stakeholders.
• Participate in special projects, external audits, and process improvements to support quality assurance initiatives.
• Assist in defining and maintaining an effective quality program, including developing and delivering training.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management Information Systems, or computer science, or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of quality assurance, engineering or management information systems experience.
• Experience working with quality metrics and software industry metric data collection and analysis techniques.
• Experience working with quality assurance principles and practices and software development methodologies such as Catalyst.
• Experience working with standard software development methodology assessments, such as SEI/CMM or ISO 9000.
• Experience working with project management methodology.
• Experience working with software test science and tools.
