The Lucas County Engineer's Office is seeking full-time temporary seasonal laborers for the summer from May-August, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The successful candidates will be able to perform light physical labor outside which includes standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling under varying weather conditions which may include heat, wind, and rain.

Examples of work to be performed include:

• Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Setting devices such as cones, sign boards, barricades, etc. for use in static or moving work zones in accordance with regulations.
• Flagging traffic safely through the work zone.
• Performing grounds keeping, requiring operation of weed whacker.
• Operation of a county truck.
• Performing other related work as required.

Qualifications:

• 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to interact positively and communicate clearly within a team.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
