Software Support Engineer troubleshoots and develops technical solutions related to software and setup errors for field engineers, technicians, and customers. Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion. .Position Summary
The Software Engineer will contribute to all areas of our product line. From helping to support legacy systems written in PHP/jQuery to developing new cutting-edge software written in TypeScript/React and running in AWS Lambda/EKS. They will use the Scrum methodology to facilitate our fast-paced continuous delivery cycle and will be part of a full-stack feature team, setting estimates and timelines. This position is specific to ChronoTrack, but will work closely with our sister company, Athlinks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Builds efficient, testable, and reusable applications and components in varying technologies
- Builds automated test and deployment suites
- Participates in Scrum ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups and sprint review
- Provides estimates and progress updates of work
- Provides candid feedback on process and execution to help improve department efficiency and developer experience
- Collaborates with local and offshore developers to prevent knowledge silos
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5 years experience working in a related field
- Demonstrable proficiency in TypeScript programming and AWS knowledge
- Familiarity with asynchronous and distributed software architectures
Compensation
- Salary Range of $91K-127K
Location
- Position is open to remote work but with a required monthly visit to Evansville, IN. Best candidates will be within 300 miles of Evansville, IN.
