This position is currently in-office with the possibility of becoming hybrid in the future. 

Salary Range: $­­71,600 to $105,600 annually bonus eligibility (if applicable)  

28 Technologies is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our organization. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail oriented and has a passion for process improvement. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop machine learning models to perform NER on documents
• Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions for various business requirements
• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications, troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for cloud development
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud technology and recommend ways to improve our cloud environment
• Help grow an early stage startup
• Contribute to establishing best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field
• Experience building and deploying production machine learning models
• Python
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred) including cloud security 
• Experience using IaC (Terraform preferred)
• Understanding of CI/CD
• Database knowledge (relational and non-relational)
• Proficiency in Git
• Knowledge of software development best practices
• Kubernetes/Docker experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team
• Proactive and self-managing
• Ability to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a modern frontend JavaScript framework such as Angular or React
• HTML, CSS proficiency
• Familiarity with spaCy
• Experience with OCR technology
• Experience working at a startup
• Experience building ASP.NET web API’s
• Familiarity with MongoDB and Postgres
• Experience building out CI/CD pipelines using Git Actions
• Experience with microservice based architecture
• Python FastAPI
