About the job

Write provisioning, automation, and reporting code for complete end-to-end testing of Red Hat certification. Write test plans and automation scripts for testing Red Hat Certification products and scripts for developing releases for Distributed CI and engage in manual and automated testing ensuring the products are well-tested and ready for deployment and release.

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Westford, MA.

What you will do

• Analyze daily software testing reports and locate issues in the Red Hat Certification products utilizing ReportPortal.
• Responsible for designing and implementing new Red Hat Certification hardware features and tests to be delivered to partners.
• Responsible for researching and documenting new features for Red Hat Certification.
• Develop and write internal tools to help Red Hat teams, including Certification QE, and monitor and manage their CI and testing infrastructure.
• Document and report bugs found in Red Hat Certification products in the form of JIRA tickets, and work alongside developers to track and test the resolution of defects suggesting changes.
• Develop features and test strategies based on hardware technologies such as bluetooth and graphics.
• Coordinate with Product Management to fulfill product requirements and act as a liaison between product management and development teams.
• Provide and record demos on new features in test automation for the team, document code with comments that reflect the functionality of the code and write Confluence pages to document higher-level overviews.
• Participate in grooming meetings alongside developers to pick JIRA tickets for upcoming sprints and meet with DCI to facilitate new releases of the Red Hat Certification tests for partners.
• Communicate with developers over usability recommendations, request feedback on usability and functionality from teams for implementations for DCI or CI-Cop.

The salary range for this position is $92,860.00 - $148,550/ year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
• Must have two (2) years of programming and debugging experience with Python.
• Must have two (2) years of experience with: CI and CD tools; configuration management tools; testing methodologies and procedures; Git; developing and maintaining automated systems; and Linux systems.
• Must have one (1) year of experience with enterprise hardware technologies.
