    Progress managed file transfer (MFT) portfolio is used by thousands of organizations around the world to provide complete visibility and control over file transfer activities. In today's highly regulated business environment, it assures the reliability of core business processes, and secure and compliant transfer of sensitive data between partners, customers, users, and systems on-premises and in the Cloud.

    You'll be part of the Progress product team, reporting to the SVP of Product. You will focus on the File Transfer product portfolio in a strategic role that defines the WHO, the WHY and the HOW of your product(s), acting as the voice of the market and the customer. You will work closely with the product management, demand generation, and sales team in executing a winning GTM strategy selling directly to enterprise organizations and through a global network of resellers and distributors.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

    • Develop and lead the managed file transfer GTM strategy working with cross-functional teams to monitor and achieve financial and market share objectives
    • Develop and demonstrate a solid understanding of the products, market dynamics, market segments, personas, and competitive landscape to execute on an effective GTM strategy
    • Drive the creation of outstanding content along with crisp messaging linked to a solid content strategy to enable Partner channel, Sales, and Demand Generation teams in campaign execution
    • Support other GTM initiatives including channel program support, pricing, promotions, events, webinars, social, blogs, etc.
    • Execute on enablement programs to support sales (including live training, pitch decks, playbooks, and battlecards)
    • Drive expansion programs with the Demand Generation team including selecting target segments, crafting compelling messages and CTAs, and presenting on webinars
    • Collaborate with product management to shape product roadmaps based on market requirements.
    • Lead product launches and engage with key stakeholders for successful adoption.
    • Be an overall champion and well-spoken communicator to represent the product line both internally and externally.

    WHAT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO HAVE:

    • Experience in B2B Product Marketing; extra consideration will be given for candidates with an understanding of IT, CISO and Compliance Officer persona challenges
    • Experience with on-premise, subscription and SaaS products and understanding of unique business and marketing considerations (pricing, selling strategies, margins).
    • Experience in how to craft the GTM strategy through persona-driven thinking that covers the buying journey, decision makers, champions, and influencer and how to tailor messaging and content to each.
    • Understanding of the end-to-end GTM process to support all product launch activities
    • Proven track record in creating effective GTM and new market strategies.
    • Ability to analyze and dive deep into the market and competitive landscape to determine best market fit and how to achieve marketing goals.
    • History of developing effective pitch decks, sales plays, and marketing messaging to support GTM activity
    • Examples that showcase experience in crafting compelling sales materials and messaging.
    • Experience acting as key subject matter expert with analysts, customers, partners and internal sales teams
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills with high comfort level speaking on webinars, conferences, and industry events
    • Insatiable appetite to drive to business objectives
    • Self-motivated, inquisitive about the market and emerging trends
    • An ability to carefully listen to and act on customer feedback and key market indicators
    • Familiarity with industry best practices for product marketing is a plus (e.g. Forrester Sirius Decisions, Pragmatic Marketing)
    • Technical understanding of SSH/SSL, PowerShell, and compliance auditing and tracking requirements is a plus
    • Understanding of direct and 2-tier distribution models a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or tech-centric degrees ideal, MBA a plus
