    About this Opportunity

    Provides technical maintenance service to the City Wastewater Treatment Facility, Lift Pump Stations and Flood Pump Stations.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Develops and coordinates service contracts and maintenance contractors
    • Reviews equipment failures and recommends repair procedures and future preventive actions
    • Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations
    • Monitors completion of job assignments to ensure compliance with quality standards and instructions and revises instructions and time frames as necessary
    • Prepares bids and bid specifications and coordinates contract maintenance activities
    • Purchases or orders supplies necessary for inventory, shutdowns, and overhauls
    • Conducts project design and monitors for completeness of specification requirements
    • Develops standardized equipment, maintenance, inventory, repair, and inspection forms to ensure systematic repair and inspection of equipment and facilities
    • Coordinates and facilitates maintenance services with WPC staff
    • Performs related work as required

    Required Education and Experience

    • Associate’s degree in environmental sciences, business administration, or a closely related field and 1-3 years of experience in the repair or maintenance of wastewater equipment;
    • OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience (i.e., one year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education)
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population
    Required Licenses or Certifications
    • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

    Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:30pm
