Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Collaborate with management to develop training programs on safety protocols and procedures
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills as necessary
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in occupational health and safety
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety-related matters
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers compensation laws
- Familiarity with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Excellent report writing skills
- First aid certification is preferred
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Excel
