Summary of Job Function

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist and Director Of the US Sanofi Breast Care Center the Mammography Coordinator will facilitate patients breast care needs with timely scheduling, obtaining orders, tracking patient findings and mailing letter to patients and referring MDs. Assists with billing inquiries.Assists with Pathology input. Provides quality assurance for Bi-RADS reports and letters in accordance MQSA ACR guidelines. Inputs pertinent information/data for reporting, tracking and PI QI purposes. Monitors the SOM RIS Breast Imaging Coordinator Dashboard in EPIC to ensure timeliness of imaging studies and verbal/written correspondence. Problems solves related to daily operational issues in a proactive manner by reviewing appointments prior to patient arrival checking for orders, prior imaging and appointment accuracy with regards to prior imaging reports BI-RADS and clinical indications. Imports outside imaging into Change Health Care PACS system using department protocol. Seeks assistance when needed to maintain assigned tasks and responsibilities. Serves as relief for Breast Interventional Scheduler. Assists Team Leader with front end duties as needed,

Requirements:

Three to five years experience in medical office setting preferably a Breast Center

Knowledge of MQSA ACR accreditation requirements, BI RADS system AND Breast Center workflow preferred
