Being a Special Education Teacher develops individualized education plans, and evaluates and monitors students' performance. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Special Education Teacher may provide behavioral consultation or implement therapeutic programs for students. May mentor teaching aides. Requires a bachelor's degree. We are looking for a Lead Teacher who will work with the Assistant Teacher in implementing our curriculum in daily lesson plans. You must use imaginative methods to encourage and engage the children and prepare them for the structure they will need for the school years ahead. You will use the curriculum to assess the mental and social development of the children and work with their families to prepare development and education goals for their child. The candidate must have a great love for children, be very patient, exciting, fun and enjoy teaching. The teacher must agree with Conscious Discipline theories and no use of time-out or yelling, or loud-harsh voices allowed. The candidate must have qualifications needed to teach them effectively, have knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education.
