Special Education Teacher jobs in Texas

Special Education Teacher instructs special education students in a classroom setting. Prepares lesson plans and instructional materials designed to meet the needs of individual students. Being a Special Education Teacher develops individualized education plans, and evaluates and monitors students' performance. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Special Education Teacher may provide behavioral consultation or implement therapeutic programs for students. May mentor teaching aides. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific special education teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Special Education Teacher occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Position Description

    Epic Special Education Staffing is partnering with an exceptional school district who is looking for a contract Special Education Teacher or Educational Diagnostician for the school year.

    • Location: Llano, TX
    • Duration: Immediately - May 2024
    • Onsite or Virtual: On-Site
    • Full or Part Time: Part Time
    • Schedule: 24-25 hours/week; 3-4 days/week
    • Grade/Age Levels: Elementary School

    Qualifications

    The minimum qualifications for a Special Education Teacher or Educational Diagnostician:

    • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Special Education Teacher or Educational Diagnostician within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
    • Valid Special Education Teacher or Educational Diagnostician credential/license or in process in the state of practice
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be asked for proof upon hire. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
